    What's the difference between a Cloud and Dedicated server?

    Even when you can fully manage both kind of servers, installing the same kind of tools and applications, dedicated servers provides you 100% of the server resources, allowing an amazing and stable performance. Cloud servers, on the other hand, allows you to reduce costs by sharing hardware with other Cloud Servers. Even when Cloud servers can't provide the performance of a dedicated server, the do offer some interesting features like generation of full backups / restauration points. We encourage you to read the details of both kind of servers before you pick one.

    Can I register domain names with HosterZone?

    Yes, to register a domain name please contact us requesting the domain registration.

    Can I reboot my server if it stops responding?

    Yes, from your administration panel, you can request a server reboot any time.

    Can I request a fresh reinstall using the same or another operative system?

    Yes, from your administration panel, you can request a fresh install. Each time you request a fresh install, you'll be able to pick the OS you want.

    What happens if my dedicated server's hardware fails?

    If you find out some piece of hardware is or may be failing, please let us know asap so we can check and replace the failing hardware for you, at no cost.

    Which operative systems can I use on HosterZone's servers?

    You can freely choose between Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and Windows Server. Just remember that if you choose Windows Server, you'll have an additional cost.

    Can I use my HosterZone server as an email server?

    Yes, you can install any software or service you need on HosterZone's servers (this includes email servers). The server is yours! Just remember you must always respect our terms and conditions.

    I don't know how to manage my server and don't have someone to do it for me. Can I still use HosterZone?

    Yes. In this case you can hire our "Server Administration Service", which puts at your disposal highly trained professionals to setup, manage and monitor your server and the services running on it.

    Can I setup Java, PHP, NodeJS, Python, C++ or .NET applications?

    Yes. You can install any web server and service you need to run apps or sites developed on any language. Just consider that in order to use IIS / .NET, you'll need to setup Windows® Server, which has an additional cost.

    What is Plesk and on which servers can I use it?

    Plesk is an automated service for web hosting, that'll provide you tools for managing your server and create hosting accounts on it. Plesk is available only for dedicated servers running Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Windows.

    Can I setup a videogame server on a CloudServer?

    On most cases yes. However, we can't guarantee that your software will run properly, as this kind of applications demands vast amount of resources (generally available on CoudServers, but not always). For this kind of applications, a Dedicated server is the best choice.

    How can I contact tech support if I have some issue with my server?

    You can contact our support by email or ticket 24x7 and we'll answer as soon as possible. If you require phone assistance, you can call us from Monday to Friday / 9hs to 18hs (GMT-3)

    Will you provide me root access to my server?

    Yes, you'll have complete root access to your server. This means you can do whatever you need on your server without restrictions or limitations (as long as you fulfill our terms and conditions).

    Who is responsible for the security on my server?

    In terms of software and configurations, you're fully responsible for the security of your server. Unfortunately we can't take responsibility for a server we don't manage. If security is important for you and you don't have time or knowledge for it, you can hire our "Managed Server" service, which provides you highly qualified people to setup, manage and monitor your server and the services running on it.

    Can I have more IP addresses on my server?

    Yes, you can request up to 4 IP's per server. Just remember that the main IP is free, and each additional IP has an additional cost.

    How can I pay for my server?

    Payment options varies from country to country. For most countries you can use Paypal, Payoneer or Skrill. If you need to use another method like Wire Transfer, MercadoPago, or any other option please contact us.

    Which is the minimum contract length with HosterZone?

    HosterZone allows contracts of 1, 6 and 12 months with automatic renovation. You can choose the contract length when hiring your server (longer contracts mean lower costs).
